3 core belief system
Defined.  Core Beliefs are deeply rooted convictions that originate in the childhood ... and it becomes the lense through which we look at ourselves and the world around us.

These basic, and sometimes wrong, impressions control us and they limit us until we bring them out in the open and challenge them.  Based on our early understanding of messages received from siblings and adults, these impressions become deeply ingrained within us, and it becomes part of the perceived fabric of ourselves.

Core Beliefs is the foundation of our decision making.


Core Belief 1 ... Self-Image

The Self-Image is a mental picture that we have of ourselves and consists of the following 2 factors:

1.  It consists of  physical details like our height, hair color and eyes that other people can perceive. 

2.  It's the items that the person has learned about himself, either by personal experience or by the judgement of others.


There are 3 basic Self-Image types:

1.  How the individual sees himself,

2.  How others see the individual,

3.  How the individual thinks others see him.


Core Belief 2 ... Relationships

A relationship can be defined as a connection between individuals.

A healthy relationship is built on a foundation of secure attachment. The relationship is maintained by love and positive behaviors. Within the framework of save and secure attachments [relationships] can people function on a optimal level and flourish from it.


Core Belief 3 ... Needs

A need is something that is necessary for people to be able to live, and consist of the following:

1.  Enough food and water
2.  Protective housing
3.  A safe working environment
3.  Adequate clothing
4.  A environment that is safe to live in
5.  Adequate health care
6.  A secure childhood
7.  Important close relationships with others
8.  Adequate physical security
9.  Adequate economic security
10. Adequate education
